If you just got the i-Pad for Christmas, chances are you’ve already loaded it up with cool games and entertaining apps. However, you can use your new toy for business, too. Here are some of the best work-related iPad apps on the market.

Evernote

Evernote is a note-taking application that will sync with your desktop computer, tablet, or phone. You can take voice, text, or picture notes. Best of all, Evernote is free. For those who need more storage than most, Evernote offers premium accounts that store 500 MB of data for around five dollars a month.

The iWork suite

If you’re a Mac user, you’re probably already familiar with Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. They’re basically the Apple answer to the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, respectively). Good news, iPad users: Apple has released the iWork suite for the iPad so users can create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations on their iPads.

Never leave home without the market again. If you’ve got an E*Trade account, you can access your full account through your iPad. The E*Trade app is free for users with an E*Trade account.

Corkulous

While this app clearly isn’t for everyone, Corkulus provides a whimsical cork board for you to organize your ideas. Perfect for those who love to brainstorm or storyboard. This app runs around $4.99.

Dropbox

When you’re juggling multiple devices (laptop, desktop, iPad, smart phone, etc.), keeping your files straight and organized can be a huge ordeal. Thankfully, there’s Dropbox. Dropbox can automatically sync your files among all devices.
