Some Must Have Gadgets for 2011

Content

It’s getting tough to keep abreast of all the big advancements in technology these days. Manufacturers and software developers have been outdoing each other with their offerings, and the tech world is all the better for it. Tech lovers have been more than grateful, keeping the books of companies like Apple and Sony in the black. Some of the products to watch for 2011 are:

1. iPad 2: This upcoming release is shrouded in secrecy so it is tough to base any real assessment on its specs. However, the first generation so impressed critics and tech users alike, there is no reason to expect that this upgrade will be any different. Its official launch will be in February 2011, but it will be in stores by March. Sharper display and a camera are just two of the rumored improvements.

2. Nintendo 3DS: 3D entertainment is hot right now and the folks at Nintendo are paying attention. This device is also expected on store shelves in March. Some people are dubious about 3D being delivered in such a small package, but the buzz has already begun.

3. Windows Phone 7: One of the biggest lessons of the tech world is that Microsoft should never be counted out. They rebounded from the Windows Me fiasco and seem set to bounce back from a poor response to their phone in 2010.

4. Sony PlayStation Phone: Sony continues to make big strides in the tech arena. This device is highly anticipated as it is expected to come with all of the PSP’s gaming muscle, plus work as a smartphone to boot. Time will tell whether it can find its place among other offerings already on the market.

Many other great new tech products will hit the market this year. Tech fans will have to be sure to check out all the trade shows to see for themselves.
