Many of the techies out there have been waiting with bated breath for the unveiling of the i-Pad 2. Well, my friends the wait is over. As of this point in time, March 2, the i-Pad 2 has been officially revealed in all it’s glory. It has not even been a year since the first one came out.
Apple has brought the consumer a thinner, lighter version of its much loved original. This new version comes with it’s own bells and whistles. Neat little surprises to update the old version and make it better.
The i-Pad 2 is much faster than the original. Jobs says it is, “good for nine times the graphics performance of the original.” That’s fast my friends.
This newer version also comes with two cameras. Yes, I said two. A front facing camera for video chatting, for business or with a friend. The back for taking actual pictures, which can be stored on the i-Pad.
Steve Jobs also shared about the new “Smart Cover” which can be purchased for $39 to cover the i-Pad 2. A HDMI cable can also be purchased for $39, for charging the i-Pad 2.
You may be wondering how much this newer version will cost. Apple is keeping the prices in the same area as the original, so a 16GB is $499, a 32GB is $599 or a 64GB will be $699. Not bad, considering you will have convenience at your fingertips wherever you go.
If you plan on rushing out to get yourself one, they will be hitting the U.S. market around March 11. Other countries will have to wait till the end of the month. Wonder what is in store for next year.
