A Message From Your Cable Provider

One of the toughest decisions we can ever make is how we are going to watch our television. I remember a time when there was no choice but to put aluminum foil on your television antennas; and then you did a little manipulation, twisting and turning of the antenna to try to clear up the fuzzy picture as much as possible. Those days you didn’t have to fret over which television provider you were going to use. You did not have to navigate the ads and promises of cable television and satellite television. But you will have to make that choice, so let’s look at two of the major players to help you make your decision. Let’s take a look at Comcast vs Direct TV.

The cable TV provider Comcast boasts over 23 million subscribers. The company is based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is not only the largest cable television provider in the United States but they are also the largest Internet provider as well. Comcast Corporation can be a good option if you are moving and need to get your television, Internet and phone service hooked up as the Comcast triple-play deal will save you money on all services. This can also be a problem if you experience bad service as all of your services are coming from one company.

Direct TV is the largest of the satellite television companies. Some estimates have the customer base of DirecTV at around 50 million. To use their service you are required to place a dish antenna somewhere on your property to pick up the satellite signal. They do have the most HD channels and the best picture quality. And also have exclusive sports package deals. When comparing Comcast vs Direct TV, you should look at what you want from the services and what you can afford to pay. On a personal note, I prefer Direct TV over Comcast because of their clear picture and excellent customer service.
